My New Civic Sport

I finally traded in my CRV for a Civic Sport. I was looking for a small car for the fuel economy. At the same time I want something different too. I managed to shortlist to 2. The Colt Ralliart and Suzuki Swift. I like both of it. However when I was in the Mitsubishi dealer I also test drove the new Lancer VRX. It was really an impressive experience. I will reconsidering increase my budget for the VRX. But then for the price I was going to pay, I also test drove the Civic. The Civic was luxury based, with sunroof, leather trim and K20A2 engine, and of course Honda quality was a big plus. But then I can't forget the driving experience of the Colt Ralliart and Lancer VRX. They were very good handling at the corners. So I discussed the trade in with the dealers. The Mitsubishi quoted me $11k for my CRV and Honda wanted my CRV for $17k. Well, you knew the rest. I just can't forget the $5k different and head towards my butt feeling.

(The above car is NOT my car. I passed the name card of my dealer's salesmane to a colleage and he bought the same model and same color Sport from the same salesman a week after, the photo was taken 3 weeks after my Civic delivered)

New Ikea in Perth

The new IKEA store is now opened for a few weeks. I never have the chance to visit the new store since. So one Saturday I decided to pop in and had a look. Mind when I was leaving, it took longer for me to exit then arrived the store.

The selling point of the new IKEA store is the self service section. One word, its "HUGE".

Artificial Intelligent? high tech remote control?

I was walking around the Forrest place in city with my sister the other day and we saw a group of ppl circled an dirty old man with a trolley?. It was nothing special as the spot was normally had some non sense people protesting or doing some public speaking. When I was about to turn around and walked away I noticed there was something wrong with the old man. Like all the other ppls I walked toward it and had a peep. Its an radio controlled human like robot. It can "walk", turn its head to the source of the sound, look ppl in their eyes. There was even one woman took it's cap away and all underneath it was, circuit boards and wires. Pity I didn't get to take a shot with the cap off. We looked around and spotted no sign of the person who controlling it so we assumed the robot actually has buildin video camera for visual. What an impressive piece of work.
