Carnavon Trip

North trip.. yea.. fun fun fun.. well, not really. Its another work trip up north. This time I went to Carvarvon. Its a bloody small town at Coral Coast region, 904 kilometers north of Perth.

There were new housing area along the beach, 2 rows of shop next to the beach, a Chicken Treat, an IGA, one petrol station, a harbour, a few cafe, etc etc.. you get the "small" idea. Due to the "flooding" characteristics of this region, there are a few crops that are popular here, e.g. banana.

From the air there are two significant landmarks. i.e. the Carnarvon Heritage Precinct and the satellite communications dish.

There is other 2 "attractions" to mention here. The first is really obvious but not that obvious. It is the "flooding" effect of the region, you can see the region is full of flooding zone in rain season.

The second is the blow holes. It is about 70kms north of Carnarvon. Its not a long drive and you get to see what you mostly missed the Albany one.

The whole trip last about 28 hours with a delayed flight back to Perth, in a wet weather.

Perth Motor Show 2007 = Perth Motor Show 2006??

Ok, I went to the Perth Motor Show 2007. Thinking that I have a new lens, and the top of the range flash, I can take better pictures.

The problem is... there is nothing much to take. All of the decorations, the cars, the stalls.. are like the previuos year one. SO even thought I took lots of pics to recap the 2006 cars, I only select some of the newer old car in my gallery . So... 'enjoy' yourself.

Happy Birthday to Oscar

Eyes blink, time flies... my little cousin is turning 7 today. Not unusual my uncle organized a party for him. This time it is at The Beach House. Its an indoor playground with lots of child play facilities. You can of course have an area where you can have your little children parties.

But, but the thing is... the view of all the children there, the way they interact and the "sports" they choose to play, is really interesting. Some likes to follow others, some likes to play alone, some likes to compete.. huaaaaa.... but they all play together, in peace, well.. Sort of. I guess this is the beginning of forming a team of some kind. No wonder Australia are so good in team sports.

Oh well, after the party is over everyone heading home. Before they went off, there was this candy bag prepared by my uncle. For the friends that attended the party. Another Aussie's children tradition?
