Pinnacles Sunset Phototaking Trip

The Pinnacles are 245 kilometers north of Perth. About 3 hours drive, and there’s really nothing to see on the way there. Oh well, there is one. On the way to Pinnacles, there is a windmill farm in a small town call Dandaragan , Emu Downs Wind Farm.

We depart on a Saturday after lunch and arrived there around 5pm. We had about 30 minutes to get ready for the sunset. The good thing was it’s after 5 and no one was actually guarding the entrance, hence we saved 10 bucks for the entrance fee. Oh btw, please welcome my new old CRV.

Having said that, we didn't really get the most out of the sunset. We decided to give up at around 6pm as the sun disappeared and we started heading back to Perth.

Before we reached the main road, we noticed we were at a small town with limited artificial light. We pulled a side and looked at the sky. STARRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS. So the trip ended up taking shots of the stars.

Donuts

Don't know when its actually started. Donuts become part of our office culture, apart from the Hula gal.

New kids on the block, donuts. Birthdays, donuts. Farewell, donuts, and then there is once people are doing "gold coin" contribution to donuts where you pay 1 or 2 dollars and someone will go and get the donuts.

Situation is getting better. People are getting donuts once or twice in a week for NOTHING for the past few weeks. I guess someone is getting paid too much?

I am counting, I think I have already had more then a dozen of donuts for free since this year. ermm.. maybe its my turn to contribute soon. Anyway, till then, I will enjoy my donuts. :P

The Story of Hula Girl

Some say the hula girl was left over by an ex-colleague to spy on us, and if you turn it on it will transmit a signal of some sort to the closest satellite. Other say it’s the charming doll of the team, who will look after our daily operations in the team.

But, its really has the role of an incident memorial. That’s right, whoever that is done something silly, significant enough to cause impacts to the production systems own it, until the next incident and someone "claims" it. Well, there is really no need for them to claim it. For the past few incidents the doll were automatically placed to the desk of the next owner.

And yea... no need to guess. I am having the honour to own it now.

:(
