Telispark Mobile Computing + Radius server + CA Siteminder Policy server + Novell eDirectory

4 words. Do not get involved.

I am trying to visualize one of the existing Siteminder Policy server and experiencing all sort of problem. Well, not exactly my problem, somehow I got dragged in anyway.

One of my colleague build the virtual clone from scratch as a third node in the existing cluster. There is existing firewall rules for the existing 2 cluster nodes. They are all in DMZ zone and no DNS service is available, everyhing is configured using ip or host file.

We got a brilliant idea that if we swap the physical server with the newly build virtual server, keeping the same ip address everything should continue working.

Unfortunately after 2 ourtages (2 rollbacks) across 3 weeks, despite we had verified most of the applications were working, the mobile computing application just failed to authenticate from the radius server.

Everyone is big head and gave up leaving the so call fake acting senior engineer application (while the big boss is away for holiday) to look into it.

So I guess that will be my next big task, for the next few days, hopefully.

Mooncake Festival is Here Soon

Away from home for closing 10 years, I have been skipping at least 7 Chinese New Year, all of the Moon cake festival and most festival. Not that I fancy about them but over time I do missed it. Its like hints from your memory sometime.

Yesterday me and my sister went to the oriental shop to stock up my "lunch". We saw a whole rack of boxes full of different varieties of mooncake. Some made locally, most other imported from Hong Kong or Taiwan. After a few picks we had decided to buy the only box left in the fridge.

The box came with 4 different looks and fillings (as displayed, cut in 1/4). I must say, I can't remember when was the last time I had a moon cake, and those didn't taste like any of those I had tried before, but they were nicee.... and cold.

JB HIFI offers = time to start my TV Series collections

A few weeks ago JB Hifi had some specials on the TV series box sets where you can get a free box set if you bought 2. The normal price for a box is A$32.99. This make the price down to A$22 per box, for a season of a TV series.

So I started my collections. Unfortunately they don't do special on Stargate series. :(

PS: I had previously download and watched all of them and I am repeating it again, and I am half way through atm. :D
